foodbankWe are going to be at Sainsbury’s Walton on Thames on Saturday 5th Dec to launch the foodbank there – an opportunity to ask myself and volunteers any questions about the foodbank.

Then on Saturday 12th Dec we will have a collection tin on each till (sixteen tills we believe) and at the customer service area and food would be donated into some decorated collection point trolleys.

As well as the regular food in an emergency parcel, we also like to add in a few festive treats towards the Christmas season. These include:

A Christmas pudding, Mince pies, Christmas chocolate (eg. Selection boxes, Quality Street/Roses), Crackers (the kind you pull!), Crackers (the kind you put cheese on!), Tinned ham, Tinned salmon, Nibbles (pretzels, nuts, crisps), Box of biscuits, Hot chocolate

Any left-over Christmas treats will go to the new Winter Night Shelter opening in early January 2016.
