FOBF-200Friends of Bell Farm School, Hersham

The Friends of Bell Farm School, Hersham,  are a very successful PTA and work closely with the school helping wherever and whenever we can for the ultimate benefit of our children.

Over the last 5 years we have raised over £50,000 which has enabled us to purchase most of what you see in the school grounds.

The PTA is a great way of meeting other parents and your children will love it if they see you helping around the school!  We hold meetings every 6 weeks or so where we discuss past events, future fundraising opportunities and find out if the school need our help with certain projects.

Even if you’re working and can only offer a small amount of help, we never say no.

All help is welcomed and appreciated and you can do as little or as much as you want to – please read on for a small taster of what we have done this year, as well as what’s coming up!

Vegas Night – Saturday 5th March

On Saturday 5th March the Friends of Bell Farm Primary School got together for ‘One Night in Vegas’ at the Hilton, Cobham.

The event sold out in two hours to parents of Bell Farm children and was organised to raise money for a new climbing wall at the school. After a three course meal guests participated in a live auction and raffle with generous prizes from local businesses.

They were then treated to a live show from local Elvis impersonator Lee Alexander. Photographer Isaac from Beyond The Lens was on hand to snap people dancing away. A roulette wheel and black jack table completed the Vegas theme with all proceeds going to the school.

If gambling didn’t take the guests’ fancy a pop up photo booth from Funz Photos let them to go wild with props and wigs.

Lastly local DJs (including a Bell Farm dad) BC Entertainments got everyone on the dance floor.

Total profit from the evening is still coming in but so far the Friends have raised in excess of £4750 for the school.
