Hersham Hounds/Wimbledon Greyhounds

Why not pop along to Hersham Hounds and offer to take one (or more!) of the dogs for a walk?

Hersham Hounds have advised us of the following ‘small print’:

“We are open every day 11-2pm for volunteer walking. New walkers are advised to arrive no later than 1pm on their first visit, to allow enough time to register and go through everything.

They will need to bring 2 forms of ID, one photographic and one with proof of address. The last walk is approximately 1:30pm and each walk lasts approximately 20 minutes which is once around our field. People are advised to wear old clothes and good walking footwear, definitely no sandals or high heeled shoes as underfoot is uneven and wet for 10 months of the year!

Please note we are a working kennel and all children must be supervised at all times. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult but are welcome to help walk the dogs using a clip on lead. You are more than welcome to bring your own treats for the dogs and fluids for yourself as there are no facilities on site to purchase any refreshment.

**Please note that we may not always have suitable greyhounds for you to walk and also that we may restrict walking during periods of hot weather
