Walton Firs Activity Centre

Walton Firs is a hidden gem located within a mile of the Painshill junction of the A3, and has been welcoming young people for over 80 years.

The site comprises 36 acres and is primarily open to schools and youth groups for outdoor education and activities, but also available for private birthday parties and the occasional corporate group to engage in some teambuilding fun.

The site is charity owned and we work very hard to keep prices low, so as many young people as possible can experience the joy and challenges of outdoor education.

We firmly believe that spending time outdoors helps young people to develop, and it is very important that they can have some fun away from other distractions.

They can do this at Walton Firs in a safe and secure environment, and we’re delighted that so many people come back to us year after year having had a brilliant time!

There is plenty of camping space available, but also a range of indoor accommodation options to suit almost every group size.  The activities on site include archery, air rifles, low ropes course, climbing wall, artificial caving complex and the crate stacking challenge!

All of these activities are instructed by our own staff, but there are plenty of self-led activities available which you can run yourself (don’t worry – there are comprehensive instructions available).  If that is too daunting, our staff will be happy to instruct these sessions also (for an additional fee).

The self-led activities include the maze, team tasks, the adventure course (which can get very muddy), bouldering wall, frisbee golf, orienteering, nightline, pushball, tree trail and many more – all at varying costs to suit every budget and make sure the young people have a really good time in the outdoors.
