About Clubland

Clubland was established in 1996 with the aim of providing a safe, supervised and stimulating child centered environment. It has always been our intention to ensure that this provision is inclusive, reliable and an affordable childcare service.

Clubland offer 2 holiday camps this Half Term:

Stay’n’Play: 4*-11 yrs open to all children

Out’n’About: 8-12 years old.

October ’19 Half term Booking form

Clubland Holiday Club – Open from 07:30 to 18:15

A typical day consists of different ‘adult led’ activity each morning and afternoon and this is interspersed with free play, organised sports and craft activities. We make our base in the school hall and have use of the ‘Garden room’, playground, field and trim-trail.

The children are able to engage in cookery, den building, role play, construction, craft and sports such as table tennis, didicars, scooters, football, tennis and hockey to name a few and in the summer months the bouncy castle & water fights.

Stay’n’Play – ages 4 to 11 years

What will be on offer?

The programme of activities is just a small window into what your children will experience during a session at Clubland. Children have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities and equipment. The following is a selection of the types of play they will be engaged in.

Indoor and outdoor games and craft activities ranging from table football, den building, role play, fancy dress, painting, bouncy castle, football, tennis, cricket, scooters, didi karts, board games, trim trail, craft and table tennis.

  • 7.30am: Breakfast Club opens
  • 7.30am-8.15am: Breakfast is served
  • 8.30am- 9.30am: Children arrive, Registration , Ice-breakers & Ground rules.
  • 9.30am- 11.30am: Adult led activities (inclusive of Fruit & Biscuit)
  • 11.30am – 1.15pm: Chill out time & Lunch
  • 12.30pm: Morning children leave
  • 1.15pm: Afternoon children arrive
  • 1.15-1.30pm: Registration
  • 1.30-3.30pm: Adult led activities
  • 3.30pm- 4.00pm: Snack
  • 4.00pm – 6.15pm: Self led play, adult led games & farewell
  • 6.15pm Close

Squash and water is available at all times. Please provide a NUT FREE nutritious lunch with a water bottle. Please provide a piece of fruit that will be shared for morning snack.

Afternoon snack is provided by Clubland and consists of sandwiches/ toast and a different ‘hot’ snack each day. i.e. Fish fingers, baked beans, spaghetti/toast, pasta bake, hot dogs, or potato waffles.

Cineworld, Feltham & Bushy Park

  • Children need to arrive by 9am
  • Packed lunch & water bottle in a rucksack or disposable bag
  • All children will be required to wear a high vis jacket & lost label
  • Appropriate clothing (Raincoat & Trainers or closed in shoes)
  • Travelling via company vehicles

If your child suffers from car sickness, please let the Supervisor know in advance.

October ’19 Half term Booking form

Dropping off/Collection Procedure & Venues

Thames Ditton Infant School:

Please make your way to the side of the school heading towards ‘Colets Fitness club’. You will see a set of double gates leading onto the school playground. Please use the smaller gate making sure that you close it behind you and head to the ‘Garden Room’ at the rear of the school playground.

The gate will remain open from 7.30am – 9.30am. If you arrive outside of these times, please use the ‘doorbell’ on the gate.

The registration point is located in the garden room at the rear of the playground, where you will be greeted by the supervisor. The children must be signed in and out every day and please state the time that you arrive/leave.

Late collection

Clubland closes at 6.15pm each evening, if you are going to be late, please telephone the Supervisor on the holidayclub mobile 07770656015 so that we can reassure your child that all is well. However, please note that a late fee will be payable directly to the supervisor, calculated at a £1 per minute after 6.15pm

 

Out’n’About – ages 8 to 12 years

Out ‘n’ About & Trips

It is very important that children arrive at the time advertised on the booking form when it is a trip day generally 9am.

Things to remember:

  • Appropriate footwear for the activity
  • Appropriate clothing (hat) and coat
  • A drink and lunch in a rucksack or disposable bag.
  • If your child needs medication then please hand it over to the supervisor in the morning ensuring you have completed a ‘Permission to Administer Medication’ form located on the website under ‘How to Apply’.
  • We do not encourage children to visit the gift shop so they do not require any money
  • If your child is going swimming they will need: Swim suit & Towel. Optional: flip flops & toiletries

Phones and IT equipment:

Children are not allowed their mobile phones on site, if you wish to contact them throughout the day you can do so by calling the site number. All other electrical devices i.e.; D.S, iPad, iPods are the children’s responsibility. The children will be allocated a period of time when they are allowed to play on them, after this period of time we advise they are stored in the box we provide for safe keeping.

Please label all of their equipment and games.

Tuesday 29th October’19 – Abseiling & Climbing

High Ashurst Outdoor Educational Centre, Dorking.

Groups are a maximum of 10 with 1 qualified instructor.

  • Approx 40 ft high climb/Abseil
  • Children need to arrive by 8.30am as the session starts at 9.30am
  • Packed lunch & water bottle in a rucksack or disposable bag
  • All children will be required to wear a high vis jacket & lost label
  • Appropriate clothing & footwear- Trainers
  • Travelling via company vehicles

Wednesday 30th October’19 – Canoeing

Dapdune Wharf, Guildford , The River Wey.

Groups are a maximum of 10 with 1 qualified instructor plus Clubland staff

  • Must be confident in water, Buoyancy Aid is provided  Children need to arrive by 8.30am as the session starts at 9.30am
  • Spare clothing
  • Packed lunch & water bottle in a rucksack or disposable bag
  • All children will be required to wear a high vis jacket & lost label
  • Appropriate clothing & footwear- Trainers
  • Travelling via company vehicles

Thursday 31st October’19 – High Rope 1 Course

High Ashurst Outdoor Educational Centre, Dorking

Groups are a maximum of 10 with 1 qualified instructor.

  • Approx 12 foot high ropes
  • Children need to arrive by 8.30am as the session starts at 9.30am
  • Packed lunch & water bottle in a rucksack or disposable bag
  • All children will be required to wear a high vis jacket & lost label
  • Appropriate clothing (long trousers and tops & footwear- Trainers
  • Travelling via company vehicles
